PREPARING AND POSITIONING DIVERSE INSTITUTIONAL LEADERS FOR EXECUTIVE SUCCESS

Our client, a prestigious Historically Black College and University (HBCU) committed to providing an innovative solution to addressing the critical need for sustainability in HBCU executive leadership by operating an incubator for recruiting and developing future presidents from over 100 HBCUs. To support their mission of decreasing the attrition rate of HBCU leaders, we designed and facilitated the delivery of two micro-credentials courses focused on Board governance as well as race and social justice centered education.
OUTCOMES
Analyzed assessments to establish baseline competencies focused on leading and managing an HBCU
Instituted the ADDIE instructional design method to ensure efficient analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation
Managed and facilitated action mapping and planning with key stakeholders
Hosted content strategy sessions to identify critical content for driving behavioral change
Led in-depth-interviews with key HBCU executive leaders to gain action-oriented subject matter knowledge
Conducted comprehensive subject matter research to support content development
Conducted comprehensive subject matter research to support content development
Executed all course design aspects including storyboards, scripts, visual, audio and captions
Reviewed overall course content for cultural agility, representation and responsiveness
Assessed micro-credentials for continuing education unit (CEU) eligibility
